How to Build a Glasshouse - Walls
Timber for the A-frame glasshouse is No 1 grade dressed all-round Oregon
or redwood. The timber should be coated first with a termite
preservative. Don't use creosote on any surface, where water could later
drip on to plants. Roof beams etc are to be painted. All timber joints
should be accurately fitted and securely nailed. Structure will require
temporary bracing until plywood side coverings are fixed.

All glazing is 3mm (21oz) clear glass. Each opening should be accurately
measured and sizes supplied to glass merchant. Panes are fixed into
openings with 12mm ('Lin) beading nailed to framework on each side of
glass.
